Muddy Waters founder Carson Block has criticised European regulators for "viscerally" disliking short-selling, as the UK prepares for a potential overhaul to its rules.
UK watchdogs are currently consulting on whether to scrap rules forcing public disclosure when a net short position reaches 0.5% of the issued share capital of a company.
