Fund managers and pension funds in the UK have cautiously welcomed the Government's review of institutional investment led by Paul Myners, Gartmore executive chairman.

The review consultation document, which is expected to result in a radical overhaul of the fund management industry with the removal of barriers to investment in the UK, asks almost 50 questions on a broad range of issues influencing fund managers, pension funds, securities firms and consultants.
