Toby Nangle, one of Percival Stanion's lieutenants within the successful multi-asset team at Baring Asset Management, has left the firm to go to Threadneedle as head of multi-assets, which are continuing to grow in popularity with investors.

Nangle has been with Barings since 1997, and has twice been named in Financial News' list of 100 Rising Stars in European finance, in 2005 and 2007.
