Electra Private Equity names non-executive chairman

Listed investment trust announces Neil Johnson as chairman six months after showdown that saw two hostile investors gain seats on its board

London Stock Exchange-listed investment trust Electra Private Equity, which is managed on an exclusive basis by independent fund manager Electra Partners, has appointed business veteran Neil Johnson as its new non-executive chairman and director.

Johnson, who has worked for an array of listed businesses since 1998, will take up the roles with effect from May 12.
