New firm targets lawyer investments

Former executives at stockbroker Christows have set up a firm called iimia that wants to buy the investment operations from firms of solicitors.

Legal firms Foot Anstey Sargent and Michelmores have already agreed to put their investment activities into iimia. Michael Phillips, chief executive, says negotiations are in progress with 15 other firms.
