Optima Fund Management, the $1.6bn (€1.4bn) New York-based fund of hedge funds firm, has hired John Langeler, as managing director and co-head of US institutional sales.

Langeler will market Optima's range of multi-manager products to institutional investors throughout the US. His immediate focus will be to broaden awareness of the firm among institutional investors and pension fund consultants.
