ABN Amro, the Dutch investment bank, has hired two bankers to expand its insurance investment banking team.

The bank has recruited Robert Colthorpe, who has previously worked for Morgan Grenfell, the UK investment bank, its acquirer Deutsche Bank, and for Société Générale, together with Kate Wesley, formerly of Citigroup.
