Equity capital markets bankers in the Nordic region are eagerly waiting to hear from Einar Steensnaes, who has been appointed to oversee any further privatisation of Statoil, the Norwegian oil company.
Steensnaes was appointed Minister of Petroleum and Energy by the new Norwegian government that came into power on Friday. He is a member of the Christian Democratic Party, which has formed a ruling coalition with the Conservative Party and the Liberals since the elections on September 11.
