Kroll Buchler Phillips, the corporate recovery and financial restructuring group, has promoted Simon Freakley as senior partner and hired Chris Wallis as its chief operating officer.

In addition, Freakley will also take on the new role of head of international recovery and restructuring within parent Kroll-O'Gara.
