Just over a decade ago, the US feared its attractions as a preferred destination for foreign corporate listings were fading.

America was mired in the financial scandals of Enron and WorldCom and the resulting Sarbanes-Oxley Act in 2002 was said to be the final nail in the flotation coffin for overseas corporations.
