Aberdeen Murray Johnstone Private Equity has hired Susan Brewster as assistant director to work on its £6m (€9.7m) White Rose Technology Seedcorn Fund, an early stage technology transfer fund.

Technology transfer is the commercialisation of intellectual property developed in the public sector. The White Rose fund was raised with a consortium of universities from Leeds, Sheffield and York. Brewster will also be looking at other growth opportunity investments. She joins from KPMG Corporate Finance, where she worked in its consumer markets team focusing on mergers and acquisitions, fundraising and flotation in the healthcare and life sciences sector.
