CapVent, the private equity fund of funds adviser, plans to launch a fund investing in US mezzanine and expansion capital. CapVent is attracted to the market by improved mergers and acquisitions opportunities and a scarcity of bank capital for lower middle-market companies.

The CapVent Current Income fund will use instruments such as subordinated debt and preferred equity and invest exclusively in US funds.
