Credit Suisse First Boston has made Michael Remington head of its equity capital markets (ECM) business in Japan.
Shinobu Fukuchi, the director previously responsible for ECM, will stay in the department. A spokeswoman for CSFB in Hong Kong said: "He was looking after the ECM department, but now we have a more senior person adding to the team." Remington worked in investment banking at CSFB, where he has been since joining from UBS Warburg in October last year.
