Ian Pascal has joined Baring Asset Management as UK and European marketing director, the post held by Rob Page until he left for New Star Asset Management last March.

Pascal will be responsible for mutual fund promotion, fund development and corporate communications. He has joined from Old Mutual Asset Managers, where he was head of marketing and launched unit trusts, offshore funds, investment trusts and hedge funds. Previously, he was retail marketing director at Hill Samuel Asset Management, now Scottish Widows Investment Partnership.
