NewSmith takes one more from Merrill

NewSmith Capital Partners, the advisory and asset management boutique set up by former senior Merrill Lynch bankers, has recruited another ex-senior executive from the Wall Street bank as chief financial officer.

NewSmith was founded three years ago by five partners including Michael Marks, Paul Roy and Stephen Zimmerman. The firm has since grown the number of its partners to 55 including two new partners: Richard Sansom as chief financial officer and Gareth Gullick as head of fund accounting.
