Newton Investment Management, the UK asset management subsidiary of Mellon Financial Corporation, has lured Peter Henderson from Cazenove Fund Management to boost its private investment management division.

He joins as a fund manager in the firm's charities team based in London and will report to Jamie Korner, director of Newton charities. At Cazenove, Henderson had been head of charities for seven years.
