Newton Investment Management has signalled its intention to grow its high-yield corporate bond fund management expertise by hiring Michael Micko as a high-yield credit analyst.

Newton, the UK asset management subsidiary of Mellon Financial Corporation, is growing its bond and structured debt team under Ed Britton, head of fixed income. Micko will be responsible for assessing high-yield debt opportunities.
