BlackRock executive joins Schroders

World's largest asset manager loses third senior executive in as many weeks

BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, has lost its third senior executive in as many weeks, following the decision of Nicolaas Marais, a global head of active management, to join Schroders.

Marais, who is global head of active allocation portfolio management at BlackRock's multi-asset client solutions group, has been hired by Schroders to become its head of multi-asset solutions, which manages £30bn.
