No UK-US trade deal if Good Friday Agreement is not respected, congressmen tell Boris Johnson

Four senior US congressmen have said that they have 'grave concerns' about the UK's internal market bill

Four senior US congressmen have warned there will be no UK-US trade deal if the British prime minister Boris Johnson pursues his plan to break the law governing its exit from the European Union.

Democrat congressmen Eliot Engel, Richard Neal, William Keating and Republican congressman Peter King urged Johnson, in a 15 September letter, to “abandon any and all legally questionable and unfair efforts to flout the Northern Ireland protocol of the Withdrawal Agreement”.
