Noble & Company, the Edinburgh-based investment bank, has appointed John Barker as a corporate finance director and deputy chairman.

Barker brings with him more than 20 years experience most recently working in several senior corporate finance positions including managing director at Close Brothers Corporate Finance for two years. He was also a corporate finance director and head of electronics and engineering at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, where he worked for 14 years.
