Nomura appoints chief Asia equity strategist

Nomura, the global investment bank, has appointed Michael Kurtz as chief Asia equity strategist, based in Hong Kong. He joins as a managing director. Kurtz was previously Macquarie Securities' Asian regional equity strategist. Prior to this, he was the head of Asian equity research and Asian equity strategist and economist at Bear Stearns.
