Nomura Holdings has promoted Prabhat Awasthias to head of its equities business in India. Awasthi was head of equity research in the same country since he joined the bank in 2008 from Lehman Brothers. He will report to John Adair and Paul Dolan, co-heads of Asia-Pacific equities.
