Nomura readies Italian ECM business

Nomura, the Japanese bank that earlier this month obtained an Italian banking licence, is to roll out an equity capital markets business in the country as part of an expansion of its investment banking operations in Europe.

The bank has promoted Cristian Iosio, who was previously vice-president of equity capital markets in Europe, as director of equity capital markets and corporate finance in Italy. He will work in Milan.
