North American energy boutique makes European push

Allan Walker, a former director in Credit Suisse First Boston's energy group, has joined the London office of Waterous & Co, the North American energy advisory specialist, to increase its energy mandates outside North America.

Waterous, which is little known outside North America, is exclusively devoted to the energy industry and now commands around one third of the US market and is dominant in Canada for advice on oil and gas asset sales and disposals. European clients include Repsol, the Spanish oil company and TotalFina Elf, the Franco-Belgian oil and gas group, whom it recently advised on the sale of Italian gas assets to Eni, the Italian energy company.
