Northern Trust has won a custody mandate from Varma-Sampo, the €17bn ($15.5bn) Finnish pension insurer.

Northern Trust will provide a full range of global custody services including securities lending, cash management, foreign exchange, web-based reporting and accounting with future potential for back-office outsourcing support.
