Norton Rose, the London based international law firm, has hired eight mergers and acquisitions lawyers to its Frankfurt and Munich offices, as part of its drive to expand its German coverage.

Dr Alexander von Bergwelt, has joined from Arcon, a small law firm formerly called Schmidt-Sibeth Heisse Weisskopf Kursawe. He will bring a team of six M&A lawyers to Norton Rose's Munich office. Berwelt's arrival will suit Norton Rose's ambitions to expand its M&A work through exploiting the media and technology industries which are concentrated in the Munich region.
