Norway to examine state pension

The Norwegian Ministry of Finance has set up a new asset management department which will provide advice on strategic allocation to the Nkr1.6 trillion (€195bn) Norwegian state pension fund.

The new Asset Management Department was established on September 1. Martin Skancke, the former director general of the office of the Norwegian Prime Minister, was appointed director general of the department earlier this week.
