Maria Pierdicchi, the former head of Nuovo Mercato, has emerged at Standard & Poor's (S&P) as head of its Italian credit rating business.

Pierdicchi left Borsa Italiana's growth market late last year. Her role has been taken over temporarily by Raffaele Jerusalmi, who has overall responsibility for markets.
