The New York Board of Trade, which is in the process of merging with electronic energy marketplace IntercontinentalExchange, has named a new president and board of directors.

Thomas Farley was the president of software maker SunGard's Kiodex group, which offers commodities risk management programs and services. He replaces Harry Falk, the former president and chief executive who passed away earlier this month, as president.
