Nymex in talks to set up in London

The New York Mercantile Exchange is in preliminary talks with the Financial Services Authority, the UK regulator, to move its newly-launched Brent oil futures market to London, should it prove a success.

On Monday, Nymex launched an open outcry market in Dublin to challenge its rival, the London-based International Petroleum Exchange, which has dropped pit trading in the morning in favour of an electronic system.
