NYSE Euronext has strengthened the management team of its nascent futures clearing venture, following the appointment of former chairman of a chief executive of the business last month, as the exchange group forges ahead with plans to move into US derivatives this summer.

The New York Portfolio Clearing yesterday confirmed the appointments of Ira Krulik as chief operating officer and Kevin Murray as director of business operations, effective from July 12 and June 1, according to a company statement.
