NYSE Euronext has named six directors who will act as a committee of "wise men" to allay the fears of European companies concerned they could be adversely affected by any new or existing US legislation.

The committee will focus on issues surrounding how US regulation, in particular the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, could affect European companies. However it will also deal with any new European legislation which could affect US companies.
