NYSE sees Ice closing deal in the fall

The deal will create the world's second-largest exchange operator by valuation

The chief executive of NYSE Euronext said Tuesday the exchange group's planned sale to rival IntercontinentalExchange is on track to close this fall after securing key approvals in recent weeks.

Ice and NYSE this month formally requested approval from US securities and derivatives regulators, and await the green light from European market authorities, said Duncan Niederauer, chief executive of NYSE Euronext.
