Old Mutual takes $100m stake in new Ackman fund

Anglo-African financial group joins early investors including Rothschild, the Qatari sovereign wealth fund and the Swedish National pension fund

Anglo-African financial group Old Mutual has taken a roughly $100 million stake in Bill Ackman's European investment vehicle, which floated in October, joining early investors including Rothschild, the Qatari sovereign wealth fund and the Swedish National pension fund.

The Old Mutual holding, spread across a range of funds, was declared at the end of October, according to data from FactSet. The holding currently amounts to $93.7 million, or a 1.27% stake in Pershing Square Holdings.
