Olivier Khayat appeared in the FN100 list in 2008, after taking over the role of head of fixed income, currencies and commodities following Societe Generale's trading scandal. This year he joined UniCredit where he was reunited with former colleagues.
Having started his career in 1988 at CCF, Khayat joined Societe Generale in 2000. He headed debt capital markets and later the capital raising and financing division, before being handed the task of reorganising the FICC business after the bank was rocked by the Jérôme Kerviel scandal in January 2008.
