Canadian pension plan Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System is continuing its push to compete with buyout firms in Europe with the hire of two executives in the UK and is setting its eyes on deals in France.

Omers Private Equity said it has hired two executives in London. Isabelle Pagnotta, who previously worked at Bridgepoint for four years, has joined as a director. Omers said that the French national would "bring further focus to [Omers'] activities in that market".
