Trust. Conduct. Ethics. Compliance. The buzzwords across banking and finance these days have something of a relationship counselling feel to them.

While all this focus on financial conduct is probably a good thing, it is no doubt apparent to regulators and large institutions alike that bulking up compliance resources and rulebooks alone will never be enough to stamp out wrongdoing. If they are serious, they really need to change institutional culture.
