New York-based hedge fund manager, Optima has hired Thomas Gimbel from Credit Suisse Asset Management to work on business and product development.

At Credit Suisse he was manager of the hedge fund investments department, developing US and offshore fund-of-funds. He also represented Credit Suisse Asset Management on both the Credit Suisse First Boston asset allocation committee of private client services and Credit Suisse Asset Management's hedge fund roundtable.
