Orange, the mobile telephone group, has launched Orange Venture, a £300m (€482m) investment fund aimed at accelerating the development of a wide range of new technology companies.

The new cyber investment fund, headed by chief strategist Kenny Hirschhorn, will seek out companies and individuals that are developing cutting edge technologies and applications.
