The chief executive of Orc Systems, the Swedish technology firm, has quit just over a year after he was hired from IT giant SunGard. The board said it followed "a lack of confidence" in his leadership.

Orc appointed Jonas Lindström from SunGard's Front Capital Systems division in December 2004. It announced he had resigned today.
