A little-known manager based in Oslo has emerged as the top performer globally among hedge funds investing in equities.

Harald James Otterhaug, chief executive of Oslo Asset Management, said his team was one of independent thinkers, and that staying out of the large financial centres like London and New York helped them to focus on contrarian investments.
