Investors still sour on emerging market ETPs

Three of the 10 ETPs that posted the steepest outflows through the end of May were emerging market products

Investors continued to pull money from emerging market equity exchange-traded products in May, with the products suffering $3.5bn in net outflows year-to-date, according to new research.

Broad emerging market equity ETPs recorded $1.6bn in net outflows in the year to the end of May, according to figures published this week by BlackRock, while regional emerging market products suffered outflows of $789m and single country emerging market ETPs reported outflows of $1.2bn.
