One of Credit Suisse’s most senior London-based bankers is to join former Dresdner Kleinwort rainmaker John McIntyre at Royal Bank of Scotland, Financial News has learnt, as the UK bank continues to add big names in a push to build its corporate advisory business.

John Owen, who was previously head of the diversified industries group at Credit Suisse and more recently head of corporate finance at the division that looks after the investment banking needs of ultra-high net worth individuals, will join RBS as head of corporate coverage for Europe, the Middle East and Africa in January, according to sources familiar with the move.
