Pamplona Capital Management, the private equity firm founded by billionaire businessman Alexander Knaster and backed by Mikhail Fridman’s Alfa Group, has closed its fifth buyout fund at €3bn, FN's sister publication Private Equity News reports. 

The fund will add to the record $568.4bn of unspent capital that buyout firms globally have at their disposal after a strong last 18 months fundraising.
