Addition of former JPMorgan coverage banker is latest hire amid push under new ownership to broaden beyond stockbroker's core business

City stockbroker Panmure Gordon has hired an M&A specialist from JPMorgan as its new investment banking head, as it looks to expand beyond its traditional focus on broking. 

The firm has hired John Muncey, formerly a senior UK coverage banker at JPMorgan, to the newly created position of investment banking head.
