ParisBourse, Amsterdam Exchanges and the Brussels Stock Exchange are understood to be in merger talks.

The deal, which is expected to be announced within weeks, would create the second largest stock market in Europe behind the London Stock Exchange, and would open up a significant gap ahead of Paris' arch rival Frankfurt.
