Enrico Bondi, the turnaround expert in charge of rebuilding Parmalat, has filed a formal damages claim in a US district court against Bank of America and some of its unnamed subsidiaries. It is the latest legal action against an investment bank that worked for the collapsed Italian dairy group.
Bondi is seeking a total of $10bn (€8.1bn) in damages from investment banks and former auditors which he claims played a part in Parmalat's collapse.
