Those unlucky enough to have missed Ladies' Day at Ascot last week could take some comfort from the fact that one company brought Ascot to the City.

Patsystems, provider of derivatives trading systems, was hoping it had backed a winner with the sponsorship of Shoeshine Boy, a horse running in the 3.05pm Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot on Ladies' Day.
