Paul Hastings bumps pay for new lawyers to £173,000

Newly qualified lawyers at the firm in London have received a 5% boost to pay

Paul Hastings is the latest US law firm in London to boost pay for junior lawyers amid a fierce war for talent.

The firm’s associate pay scale has been changed from an exchange rate of £1 to $1.31 to £1 to $1.30, according to people familiar with the matter. Newly qualified lawyers at Paul Hastings will see their pay increase 5% from £164,000 to £173,000 as a result.
