Paul Norris, a former head of global markets research and senior managing director at Nomura, has joined the government’s Shareholder Executive as an executive director.

He started at the body, charged with managing some of the UK government's stakes in its wholly and part-owned businesses, on September 2, according to three sources familiar with the situation.
